His portfolio of images from when the city hosted the Commonwealth Games was instrumental in allowing me to write ‘Killing the Beasts’. His blog is also full of amusing insight and opinion. (He’s also been very complimentary about my work!) This site opened my eyes to how the subtle choices of words in TV and newspaper stories can grossly distort our view of what’s going on in the world. For any journalist who shows a bias to corporate or government interests, medialens is the bane of their lives. If you enjoy rather dark and twisted British thrillers (and let’s face it, you’re on my website) you may well enjoy Steve Mosby’s stuff. His web site is full of his musings on life, writing books and anything else that interests him. For those who lap up all the latest news, reviews and interviews from the world of crime writing, this site seems to be first stopping place for most people. An eclectic mix of film, play, concert and book reviews (including a special spotlight on my work) by the truly manic Chris High. He is possessed. Comprehensive reviews on all things European from the world of crime writing. A couple of my books take a partial – but very intelligently written – kicking. If crime as a writing genre interests you, the website of the Crime Writers’ Association has loads of relevant information, including details of forthcoming festivals where you can meet the friendly folk behind the books. (It’s true – crime writers are not brooding wild-eyed freaks!) My first two novels, ‘Outside the White Lines’ and ‘Pecking Order’ were published by Random House. Their web site lets you order online.
